Build the Core of Tomorrow’s Vehicles
This is where the car is being rebuilt – Not improved. Not optimized. Rebuilt from the ground up.
The automotive industry is undergoing a fundamental shift – from fragmented ECU landscapes to centralized, software-defined vehicle platforms powered by high-performance compute.
This role sits right at the center of that transformation.
In Gothenburg, Accenture Industry X is building a dedicated engineering hub to deliver into one of the most advanced vehicle platform programs in Europe.
While the end client remains confidential, this is the most ground breaking large-scale, production-critical engagement within the Automotive Industry, where the focus is on developing the core software architecture of next-generation vehicles.
The Opportunity
You will work at the core of modern vehicle architecture, contributing to:
- Platform-level embedded software
- OS, middleware, and system integration layers
- High-performance, production-grade systems
- Architectures that define how vehicles operate, evolve, and scale
This is not about features or isolated components.
This is about building the foundation the entire vehicle runs on.
The Role
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be part of a growing Accenture Industry X engineering team in Gothenburg, working across the full development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, integrate, and maintain embedded software (design → implementation → testing → release)
- Build robust solutions in C/C++ for embedded environments
- Work with Embedded Linux and/or QNX platforms
- Contribute to system integration, debugging, and performance optimization
- Translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions
- Support testing, code reviews, and quality assurance practices
Your Profile
We are looking for profiles ranging from experienced engineers (6+ years) to senior and principal-level specialists, who want to operate at platform level within next-generation automotive systems.
Required experience:
- Strong background in embedded software development (automotive preferred)
- Solid proficiency in C/C++
- Understanding of in-vehicle networks and system integration
- Experience with Embedded Linux and/or QNX
- Ability to work close to hardware constraints (performance, memory, timing)
Preferred experience:
- AUTOSAR Adaptive
- SOME/IP and Automotive Ethernet
- Android Automotive
- Hypervisor technologies
Additional experience (nice to have):
- Performance analysis, tracing, and logging
- Diagnostics (UDS / DoIP)
- RTOS or simulation tools (e.g., QEMU)
Why this opportunity
- Work on the core platform of next-generation vehicles
- Join a newly established engineering hub in Gothenburg
- Contribute to a large-scale, confidential automotive program
- Combine deep technical work with real-world impact
- Access a global engineering ecosystem with strong technical depth
